Are you secretly dreading the end of lockdown?

For some, isolation is a chore, a difficult period in their life that they can’t wait to end. But for others, the thought of returning to the 9 to 5, the hours sat in traffic, the painful meetings that go on and on and on - it fills them with dread.

If you happen to be the latter, take our word for it, life does not need to be that way. Keep reading and we will show you exactly how to make your isolation permanent.

Everything you need to start a new life

At Anchor Pumps, we strive to offer the best customer service in our industry. So when customers started asking us “what tools do I need to live off the grid permanently?”, we took notice.

But the same questions kept coming up:

Where can I source all these tools? Why can’t I get these tools all in one place? Why are these tools so expensive?

That’s when we had the idea - what if we, a mixture of plumbing, electrician and engineer experts, assembled an all-in-one kit that helped you live completely self-sufficient and without the need of wider society?

And that’s exactly what we did. We sourced everything you need to continue your life of complete isolation.

The living off the grid kit contains:

Power

We heard your cries. “But what about my iPhone?”, “Can I still play Xbox?”, “I still need internet porn!”. Power is not optional. That’s why we sourced everything you need to completely power your off the grid home. It includes:

Solar Panels Your main source of energy is going to be the sun. That’s why we included four top of the range solar panels. These panels offer, on average, 16 hours of power per day.

Wind Turbines When the sun goes down, you need a backup source of electricity. That’s why we included one domestic wind turbine. This particular wind turbine can generate 24 hours of electricity in 6 hours, depending on optimal weather conditions. Impressive.

Battery Power Storage System Now that you’re generating all this power, you need a place to store it. That’s why we’ve sourced a top of the range Battery Power Storage System. This one is a little more on the expensive side, but in the dark winter months, you’ll need it.

Bio-Diesel Powered Generator Speaking of those dark winter months… when they do roll around, and your solar panels or wind turbine fail, you need a backup source of reliable energy. That’s why we’ve included a generator, just so you’re always playing it on the safe side.

Water

Water is the fruit of life. And if you plan to live off the grid, you better have a plan to source, purify, heat and shift it around your home. Here’s what we’ve sourced for you:

Rainwater Harvesting System Now, you can set up your own harvesting system using an underground tank and piping system. However, if you want to live off the grid properly, you need something more sophisticated. That’s why we sourced a system that collects, purifies and pumps water around your home. A really impressive piece of kit.

Hot Water Cylinder Who fancies a cold shower every day? Anybody? No, didn’t think so. That’s why we’ve sourced you a premium hot water cylinder, offering hot water at the most economical consumption of your precious energy stores.

Butt Pump If you plan to live off-grid, you need to have a dedicated, reliable food source. Now, most people go for a garden, growing vegetables and fruits, along with rearing chickens. Unfortunately, tending to that garden means water consumption and transferring water every day. That’s why we’ve included a butt pump. This is a small tool that allows you to easily transfer water around your garden with ease.

Well Pump (Borehole Pump) It’s always good to have a backup water supply. In the event of a heatwave, you could easily exhaust your water supply. That’s why we’ve included a borehole pump, a type of tool that can help you pump water out of a well and into your rainwater harvesting system. A must-have, in our opinion.

Waste

What happens when you drink water and eat food? Waste, of course. If you plan to live off the grid, you need a plan for waste. Failure to properly dispense of human waste can lead to disease. Here’s what we sourced for you:

Septic Tank The first tool you need to manage waste is a septic tank. This is where you store the waste safely away from your home. The tank we’ve sourced can hold up to 3,800 litres of waste, meaning you will need to hire a company to empty the tank once every 3 to 5 years.

Saniflo Toilet We could have sourced you a compost toilet, but we decided to include something a little more sophisticated. In the saniflo, you have a toilet that can easily flush waste from your home and into your septic tank, ensuring you don’t get any blockages within the system. This tool is far more practical and easier to install than a conventional toilet.

Don’t wait until it’s too late to build your life of freedom

We understand you’re going to be hesitant. Living off the grid is a big step. But if you’re ready to live life outside the mainstream, then you need to act quickly. Not only are these kits in extremely limited supply, but the construction time needed to build a home off the grid can be as long as six months. If you’re ready to build your life of freedom…
