Calpeda CT(M) peripheral pumps are close-coupled, or regenerative, pumps that come in a patented and compact construction. They consist of a motor casing in a single piece and a wall on the pump side. The pump casings are manufactured in cast iron for all CTM versions. The impeller and pump side motor wall are made of brass P, a copper, zinc and lead alloy grade UNI 5705. The shaft is manufactured in chrome nickel steel AISI 303, while the mechanical seal is made of carbon ceramic.
These pumps are compact and able to fit in small locations. They are suitable for pumping clean liquids that do not contain fibres, abrasives or suspended solids. An ideal application is in air-conditioning and cooling systems as well as boiler feeds. These pumps are also able to work in areas of reduced water mains pressure
The CTM 61 peripheral booster pump weighs just 5.0 kg, while the motor can work at 2900 rpm. This is a single-phase 240v pump with a built-in thermal protector. The terminal box holds the capacitor. It can handle pumped liquids at a temperature up to a maximum of 60 degrees C within a maximum ambient temperature of 40 degrees C. The total suction height is up to a maximum of 7 metres. This pump is able to operate continuously.
This pump can be supplied for other voltages on request, as well as for 60 Hz frequencies. Also available on request is IP55 fire protection, a specially designed mechanical seal and a shaft manufactured in high-performance chromium nickel molybdenum AISI 316 stainless steel alloy.
